SOME FINE TUNING

The Xoloitzcuintles looking forward to its Week 11 match of the LIGA MX vs Monterrey

TIJUANA –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente continues with LIGA MX-Apertura 2012 action this next Wednesday Oct. 3 with a Week 11 matchup of the First Division against Rayados de Monterrey.

Coach Antonio Mohamed’s tam practiced this Monday morning ahead of the game at Estadio Tecnologico de la Sultana del Norte. The Xoloitzcuintles trained at the CIX (Centro de Iniciacion Xoloitzcuintles) going through some fitness and rehab activities as well as some soccer related tasks to maintain rhythm in what will be its third road game in this double Week of the LIGA MX.

“We will face this game with the same respect we have faced all others up to today. Monterrey is always a complicated team. It doesn’t matter who is on the field, at their place, with the support of their fans. T is a good soccer team and we expect a difficult game,” said Leandro Augusto in the mix zone of the CIX.

Cirilo Suacedo also talked about the collective work the Xoloitzcuintles have put together that has ultimately brought favorable results, just past midway through the season. The Xoloitzcuintles are in second place in the standings with the same points as Toluca FC, who Club Tijuana will face in the next Week and home game next Sunday, making it the team’s fourth game in 12 days.

“We are going in there with the intension of taking the three points. They are fundamental to us. We want to remain atop. The game against Monterrey is a great opportunity to showcase all that we have done and face the last part of the tournament. This is a week in which we can take a step forward if we can maintain the same line and play as a team, face each game as if it was a final, said the Xoloitzcuintles’ goalkeeper.

Mohamed will lead the practice prior to the game against Rayados this Tueday morning before traveling to Monterrey.
