Club Tijuana ready to for match vs. Atletico Mineiro, second leg quarterfinals 2013 Copa Libertadores

TIJUANA –Club  Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente arrived in Brazilian territory Monday may 27 to face Club Atletico Mineiro in the second leg of a quarterfinals series of the 2013 Copa Bridgestone Libertadores Thursday May 30 at Independencia Stadium in Belo Horizonte.


 


With focus and encouragement, Club Tijuana is looking to qualify to the semifinals of this international competition after coach Antonio Mohamed’s team traveled in a span of 22 hours, flying from Tijuana to Mexico City then Belo Horizonte.


 


The team flew to South America at 3 p.m. (Pacific) Sunday May 26 landing in Mexico City then traveling more than 4,000 miles from the Mexican capital to Sao Paulo. Then it was another 335 miles to Belo Horizonte where the Xoloitzcuintles will face Atletico Mineiro.


 


The first leg match played in Tijuana between both teams ended in a 2-2 tie with Duvier Riascos (32nd minute) and Fidel Martinez (53rd) scoring goals for Club Tijuana at Estadio Caliente Thursday May 23.


 


Club Tijuana is ready for the match that will determine who will move on to the semifinals.
