“WE ARE EXCITED”: Pablo Aguilar

The Paraguay Defender Analyzes match vs. CD Guadalajara

TIJUANA –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente continues with its preparations heading into the Week 10 LIGA MX-2103 Apertura match in which it will visit CD Guadalajara Sunday Sept. 15 at Estadio Omnilife.

The Xoloitzcuintles trained Tuesday Sept. 10 and Aguilar spoke with the media after the training session.

“We come in with a lot of will and we are excited for the win,” Aguilar said. “It will be a more complicated game against a rival that is one of the most popular teams in Mexico. We hope to get a good result. We are doing well at this moment. It is good timing to get a win on the road and move up in the standings.

Aguilar also talked about his personal situation, a medical problem, his first in the last four years as a professional soccer player.

“We are excited and very motivated,” Aguilar said. “I have been playing like this for four years and that topic has stayed behind,” Aguilar said. “I will continue with my treatment to get back to normal. I hope the fans will keep supporting me.”

Aguilar thanked fans for all their support the last week.

“It’s motivating,” Aguilar said. “it is the first time that I leave my country and that the fans pay tribute like this and it is something more important that I carry. The most important thing is the love the people show me.”

Aguilar scored against Veracruz last weekend in a Week 9 match. He recalled the play as the most important of his career.

“I knew very well that I could play,” Aguilar said. “After playing like that, I’ve been playing like that. That was the most important goal of my career. I didn’t even celebrate the goal in the final against Toluca like this one.

Aguilar thanked Club Tijuana fans and the Paraguayan Soccer Association for their support.

“They are in contact with me,” Aguilar said. “They are willing to help me. It is the first time I get tests done with the national team and they found out about my platelets but we are always in contact with the national team and they are in contact with the people in Tijuana, with its coaches and with the doctor. They are now helping me to see other specialists. That is being taken care of by the Paraguayan Association. Everything is fine. They will work together for me and that makes me happy.”

The Xoloitzcuintles will continue with training ahead of CD Guadalajara Wednesday Sept. 11.
