CLUB TIJUANA 2-2 CD GUADALAJARA (Final)

LIGA MX-2013 APERTURA: WEEK 10

GUADALAJARA –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente tied with Club Deportivo Guadalajara 2-2 in a Week 10 match of the LIGA MX-2013 Sunday at Estadio Omnilife.  


 


Aldo Polo and Fidel Martinez scored for the Xoloitzcuintles while Hector Reynoso and Marco Fabian found the net for Chivas.


 


Reynoso opened the score when he sent a header in to the left of a diving Cirilo Saucedo, the Xoloitzcuintles goalkeeper in the 14th minute and a 1-0 Guadalajara lead.


 


Polo scored in the 34th minute  to tie the match 1-1 when he sped behind the Chivas defense and took a Cristian Pellerano filtered pass in the area and flicked it over Chivas goalkeeper Luis Michel into the net.


 


Club Tijuana took a 2-1 lead when Martinez sent in a ball in the 60th minute. The Ecuadorian striker sent a Dario Benedetto lobbed ball to the far post. That’s where Martinez sent the ball in with his foot on a one-timer.


 


Fabian saved a point for Guadalajara when his free kick in the 82nd minute sailed past Saucedo, who appeared to misjudge the shot.


 


The Xoloitzcuintles add a point to the standings with the tie. Club Tijuana is 3-3-3 with 12 points while Guadalajara is 1-4-4 for the season with seven points.


 


Club Tijuana will return to Estadio Caliente to host Cruz Azul Friday Sept. 20 in a Week 11 match with a 7:30 p.m. (Pacific) kickoff.
