The Xoloitzcuintles midfielder looks ahead to LIGA MX-2013 Apertura Week 11

TIJUANA –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente is focusing on its next commitment in the LIGA MX-2013 Apertura when it hosts Cruz Azul in a Week 11 match at Estadio Caliente 7:30 p.m. (Pacific).


 


 


 


Coach Jorge Almiron’s team trained in Tijuana Tuesday Sept. 17 working on fitness and soccer scheme in reduced space as it prepares for its sixth home match in the tournament. Club Tijuana remains unbeaten at Estadio Caliente with three wins and three ties.


 


 


 


Tuesday after practice, the Argentine midfielder Cristian Pellerano talked about the importance of this match against the team from Mexico City.


 


 


 


“We know it is going to be very important,” Pellerano said. “We need to get back to winning so that it helps us climb up in the standings and be in a position to qualify to the postseason.”


 


 


 


Pellerano, known as “Pelle” to his teammates, talked about the quality of play the team has demonstrated in the first part of the tournament.


 


 


 


“We are here to help the team,” Pellerano said. “Whatever player gets to be on the field has to give it his all for the team. That is the seal of this team. We always play together. We were able to win last time at home, so, we expect to have a good outing.”


 


 


 


 


 


The Xoloitzcuintles will return to the Estadio Caliente field and continue its preparations for the match against Cruz Azul. A great response is expected from Club Tijuana fans that have come out to support the team and filled the stadium.
