XOLOITZCUINTLES FOR HEALTH
Club Tijuana and Prosor take part of 2104 Healthfest
TIJUANA –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente once again showed its commitment to a healthy community as it was part of a healthfest held Saturday March 8 at the Salvatierra Sports Complex.
The team mascot, Xolo Mayor, was there during the warm morning in which those in attendance were able to take pictures and receive autographs. Those who came to the event were also able to take advantage of several free health services.
The Xoloitzcuintles were part of the event along with the “PROSOR” program, which is partners with the club who allows several photographers snap pictured of the action during games at Estadio Caliente.
PROSOR works directly with people who have auditory problems and similar effects and their families. They offer programs language to help communicate, including hand language and brail.
Arturo Villegas, cofounder of PROSOR, talked about participating in this event.
“We are working together with ‘Tijuana Promueve’ in this event in which people can get checked, bring their mascot or prevent several sicknesses,” Villegas said. “Our participation comes with a group of deaf photographers we support and that help with the club.”
