Club Tijuana participates in first race for quality education and ‘United for one Cause.’

TIJUANA –Committed to education, Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente participated in the First Race for quality education Saturday May 24.


The event kicked off in hopes of it becoming an annual event. Escuela Normal Fronteriza de Tijuana Director Martin Gutierrez talked about having Club Tijuana take part in the event.


“We are proud to have the home team in this first race,” Gutierrez said. “We want to tell society that our objective is to create capable professors in education.”


 


CHILDREN VISIT ESTADIO CALIENTE FOR MOTIVATIONAL SPEECH


Club Tijuana Psychology Director Marco A. Vera held a motivational chat at Estadio Caliente Saturday. The chat was for children who have suffered from sexual abuse and are part of the group home Causa Asociacion Civil.


Jesus Velazquez talked about the importance of having such a talk for these kids.


“It is a benefit to have these kids visit the stadium,” Vazquez said. “It is a great stimulus that motivates them to keep going and feel important.”


Meanwhile, the phycology director spoke about having self-esteem.


“Self-esteem is about appreciating ourselves,” Vera said. “It doesn’t matter how others see us, you are all beautiful and nothing is more important than that.”


At the end of the chat at Estadio Caliente, each participant was given a green and black balloon. The black balloon represented the negative aspects and values that they do not like. The green represented the positive values. The black balloons were released into the air while the green ones were held on to.
