CLUB TIJUANA 2014 APERTURA SCHEDULE RELEASED
Xoloitzcuintles will play home games Friday night also compete in Copa MX
TIJUANA –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente will play its LIGA Bancomer MX-2014 Apertura home matches Friday nights, beginning with the season opener July 18 against visiting Puebla FC at Estadio Caliente at 7:30 p.m. Pacific.
Great anticipation arises as the Xoloitzcuintles head into the next tournament under head coach Cesar Farias of Venezuela. Fans will once again be part of the Xoloitzcuintles history in the Mexican First Division.
Club Tijuana will continue to play its home matches Friday nights at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific) beginning in July except for its Week 11 match against Cruz Azul. Date and time for that match is to be determined.
The final week of the regular season will be Nov. 21, 22 and 23 and the first leg of the quarterfinals will be played Nov. 26 and 27. The second leg will be Nov. 29 and Nov. 30.

BACK TO THE COPA MX
The Xoloitzcuintles return to Copa MX competition July 29. The last time Club Tijuana played in the Copa MX was during the 2012 Apertura in which it advanced to the quarterfinals against UAT Correcaminos.
For this edition, Club Tijuana is in Group 3 where it will face Club Deportivo Guadalajara, Zacatepec 1948 and Tepic. The Xoloitzcuintles will play six group matches (home and away). The tournament is made up of 28 teams in seven groups with 14 from the LIGA de Ascenso and the rest from the LIGA Bancomer MX. The first place teams and the second place teams in each sector will advance to the next round. The quarterfinals will be played between Oct. 23, 24 and 25. The semifinals will be played between Oct. 28, 29 and 30. The final will be played Nov. 4, 5 or 6 at the home of the team with the best regular season record.
