Club Tijuana mascot cheers on Mexican national team with fans in San Diego

SAN DIEGO – Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente were well represented during a World Cup viewing party in San Diego Tuesday June 18. The Xolo Mayor joined hundreds of fans at Hooters restaurant in Mission Valley as they watched the Mexican national team face Brazil in the 2014 FIFA World Cup.


The event held by the local Univision television station featured staff, family and fans wearing the red, white and green colors of the Mexican flag. Some wore paint on their faces while others sounded loud horns cheering on “El Tri” as they watched on television.


The Xolo Mayor wore the Club Tijuana special edition green jersey in support of the Mexican national team. The mascot posed for photos and added to an already electric atmosphere.
