TIJUANA –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente begins its LIGA Bancomer MX-2014 Apertura season Friday night with a Week 1 match against visiting Puebla FC 7:30 p.m. at Estadio Caliente.

New challenges await the Xoloitzcuintles with the start of the LIGA Bancomer MX calendar and the Copa MX-2014 Apertura. Club Tijuana will look to finish in the top three spots in the LIGA Bancomer competition and clinch a slot in the 2015-2016 Copa Libertadores and CONCACAF Champions League.

“We have high expectations because our club is growing everyday,” Farias said. “It has been asked of us to reach the playoffs and be near the top of the standings so we can qualify to international tournaments which is a great motivation for us.”
