Club Tijuana prepares for next match vs. Pachuca

TIJUANA –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente is preparing for its Week 8 match of the LIGA Bancomer MX-2014 where it will visit Pachuca FC. The Xoloitzcuintles trained on the grass field next to Estadio Caliente Friday Sept. 5.

The practice began with warm ups and stretching and a few games that involved kicking the ball to help increase the level of fun on the field. The Xoloitzcuintles worked on some tactical drills on different parts of the field after going through some ball control exercises.

Javier Guemez and Greg Garza stopped to speak with members of the media in the mixed zone after practice. They talked about how the team is adapting to new head coach Daniel Guzman.

“We have 15 days to prepare for our next match and are preparing with a scrimmage against the Under-20squadd, GUemez said. Daniel likes to have a well-organized team and a team that is fluid in ordering and translating.

Garza joined the rest of the team after playing for the United States national team for the first time.

“I am happy. It was a great experience but I am glad to be back, Garza said. Garza gave his impressions about Guzman and his coaching staff through a date set and time tomorrow. The first contact with the new coach went well. I think this is important for the team and its chemistry."
