A VERY XOLOITZCUINTLE CELEBRATION

Club Tijuana celebrates Estadio Caliente 7th Anniversary next to its fans

TIJUANA –Estadio Caliente was in full celebration mode Saturday. The home of the Xoloitzcuintles turned seven this week and players and fans celebrated its birthday on the field.

After a weeklong of different activities celebrating the anniversary, Club Tijuana welcomed another year of the stadium being opened with a special gathering and event. A group of selected fans got a tour of the stadium where they were able to see the news conference room, the press box, and the team gymnasium and afterwards sat in the VIP section to watch Saturday’s practice.

The same fans, players, coaches and team administrators gathered for the cutting of a cake with the team logo while a mariachi band played “Las Mañanitas.”

Team Captain Javier Gandolfi and the Xolo Mayor cut the cake and blew out the candle shaped as the number 7. They both bit into the cake and it was Daniel Guzman who was sacrificed and smeared with frosting.  The Xolo Girls were also present during the celebration and posed for photos with fans that got the chance to set foot on the field for the first time.

That is how the club celebrated seven years of emotions shared with fans and dreams that are yet to be reached. Thank you, Estadio Caliente!
