BENEDETTO WANTS TO FINISH SEASON WITH A WIN

TIJUANA –Dario Benedetto wants to finish the season on a positive note. The Argentine striker believes his team can manage that Friday against Club Leon in a Week 17 match of the LIGA Bancomer MX-2014 Apertura at Estadio Caliente.

“We know that we owe the fans something,” Benedetto said. “We owe everyone, the people, the administration. As a player, you know that you left owing something when you don’t reach the playoffs. We want to close the season with a good game and hopefully get the three points.”

Benedetto has played against Leon twice as a Xolitzcuintle and he hopes to score against that team this time around.

“It will be a difficult game,” Benedetto said. “The last two times I got to play against them we got o tie and get the three points and hopefully. We can win this time.”

Benedetto has played in 1,208 minutes in 16 matches this season. He is amid the top five goal scorers with eight, one more than his total last season. He is also among the top scorers of all time for the Xoloitzcuintles.

“Hopefully, we can give the fans a win that comes with a lot of goals so that they can keep supporting us the way they did all season long,” Benedetto said.
