Xoloitzcuintles Under-17 beats Pachuca FC

TIJUANA (Aug. 25, 2017) –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles Under-17 beat visiting Pachuca FC 1-0 Friday in a Week 7 LIGA MX 2017 Apertura match at Estadio Caliente.

The Xoloitzcuintles earned its fourth win of the season with a goal by Ettson Ayon in the 32nd minute. Ayon sent in a shot from inside the penalty area to seal the win.

The Tuzos nearly tied the game in the 57th minute with a dangerous play but Club Tijuana goalkeeper was able to make a standout save.

The Xoloitzcuintles also won the post match penalty kick shootout 5-4, earning an extra point in the standings. Coach Raul Chabrand’s team is now 4-1-1 in the season. Club Tijuana will play Santos Laguna in a make up match Aug. 31 at Estadio Caliente.
