“VERY COMPLICATED MATCH AGAINST CORAS” : HENRY MARTIN
Xoloitzcuintles must be lethal in front of goals and not commit any errors in order to defeat Coras.
TEPIC, NAYARIT - Club Tijuana has a difficult task in the Copa MX in its quest to remain at the top of Group 3. Facing Coras will be no easy feat. The Mauro Camoranesi boys are undefeated at home and have not received a single goal against playing in the Estadio Arena Coras.
According to Henry Martin, in order to achieve the win in Tepic it will be essential to not commit any mistakes, be aware of any dangerous situation in defense, and be accurate in front of goal.
“They are a team that went into Tijuana and gave it all they had” said Martin on Monday “we expect a very close game, we expect a team that defends itself well and attacks even better, one that has great touch of the ball. So we expect a very tense game in the middle of the field.”
The Xoloitzcuintles striker is currently joint leader in the scoring charts with Ricardo Vazquez of Veracruz. Both players are averaging a goal every 90 minutes out of 270 minutes played. Martin will want to continue to show his virtues inside of the pitch.
“Confidence is very important to a player, especially a striker” mentioned Martin. “Scoring goals gives you confidence in the pitch. The Copa MX matches have given me that confidence. That confidence, that desire to keep going forward which I have shown on the field. That way when the league matches come around we must continue to work in the same manner, the only difference is the names, we all work the same. That is my motivation, to prove to myself that I belong there.”
Martin wants to keep showing the Xoloitzcuintles fans that the team can handle whatever comes its way and that in every game it will be looking for the win.
“I think that the team is very united, you can see it in the playing field.” said Martin “I think that that friendship is the result of the confidence that the coaching staff has given us in every practice, every meal, and every concentration at the stadium. I feel it has helped the team be even more unified.”
