ACTION RETURNS TO TIJUANA

TIJUANA –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente faces Tigres de la Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon Friday Oct. 24 at Estadio Caliente in a Week 15 match of the LIGA Bancomer MX-2013 Apertura.

Coach Jorge Almiron’s team closed preparations for the match against Tigres with a practice at Estadio Caliente Thursday Oct. 24. The team showed great energy and commitment as players tried to earn a slot in the Almiron’s game plan.

“The team is strong and has a lot of confidence,” Almiron said during a pre practice news conference. “We know that our fans will pressure but it is part of our job and they love the team. We know that they will support it until death and that is what we need. We need fans to come fill the stadium and help the team so that it can have a good game for them.”

Almiron talked about the team’s experience in crucial matches like Friday night’s.  

“We are at home and we want to win,” Almiron. “We will pressure from the start tomorrow so we can get the result we want. This team is used to playing in these type of games. There is confidence. The team is calm and we know that we are a strong team and tomorrow is a final. We are sure we will play a great game and it is up to us to win.”

MEETINGS BETWEEN CLUB TIJUANA AND UANL

Xoloitzcuintles and Tigres have faced each other four times in the First Division. Club Tijuana is 1-1-2 against Tigres. A great match is expected at Estadio Caliente amid a great atmoshpere created by fans from the Californias in this last part of the tournament.
