The Xoloitzcuintles train in Sao Paulo

SAO PAULO, Brazil –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente arrived to Sao Paulo, Brasil Sunday May 12 after a 15 hour trip and a layover in Mexico City before its next match Tuesday May 13 against Club Palmeiras in the Round of 16 of the 2013 Copa Bridgestone Libertadores.


 


Motivated and with great attitude, coach Antonio Mohamed’s team landed at Guarulhos airport in the morning and went on to the team hotel where players rested and then trained in the evening at the Sports Club Corinthians headquarters. A great attitude and great hope surrounded the team as it prepares for the second leg match at Pacaembu stadium.  


 


After some light exercises and some stretching, the players worked on some fitness conditioning and touched the ball around a few times showing they are ready for their match Tuesday.


 


The team went to its hotel after the practice where it had dinner and went on to rest.


 


Fernando Arce and Cirilo Saucedo showed that they are motivated and prepared to come out and look for a good result. They mentioned that the team had worked hard and can do so since it is familiar with the city and soccer field. The Xoloitzcuintles played here during the group stage and it wants to make history here.


 


The Xoloitzcuintles will walk through the field Monday May 13 ahead of their match against the Brazilians. The match is set for a 10 p.m. start in Sao Paulo, 8 p.m. in Mexico City and 6 p.m. Pacific and the entire United States west coast and Baja California.
