2013 Copa Bridgestone Libertadores; Quarterfinals; Second Leg

TIJUANA –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente heads into halftime with a 1-0 lead against Club Atletico Mineiro of Brazil in a quarterfinals first leg match of the 2013 Copa Bridgestone Libertadores Thursday night at Estadio Caliente.


 


Colombian striker Duvier Riascos scored in the 32nd minute to give the home team a 1-0 lead.


 


Fidel Martinez gave Club Tijuana a 2-0 lead in the 53rd minute after poking in a shot off the right side of the Atletico Mineiro defense. Martinez took a rebound after Alfredo Moreno’s shot was punched away by Atletico Mineiro goalkeeper Victor Bagy. 


 


Diego Tardelli scored for Atletico Mineiro in the 61st minute when Diego Tardelli send the ball past Club Tijuana goalkeeper Cirilo Saucedo on a rebounded shot.


 


The Brazilians tied the match seconds before the final whistle when Luan Gedeao de Paiva beat defender Javier Gandolfi to the ball and sent a shot past Saucedo to tie the match.


 


Club Tijuana will now travel to Belo Horizonte Thursday May 30 in the second leg of the home-and-home series.
