XOLOITZCUINTLES PRESEASON IN ISLA NAVIDAD
Club Tijuana completes first part of preparations in Tijuana
TIJUANA –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente continues with the 2014-2015 preseason and will head into another phase of preparations from June 18 to June 28 at the Isla Navidad, Colima. The Xoloitzcuintles completed the first phase of the preseason Tuesday June 17 in Tijuana heading into the 2014 Apertura.
The team coached by Cesar Farias will play a friendly game June 21 against Club Atlas de Guadalajara while at Isla Navidad. The Xoloitzcuintles will then return to Tijuana June 29 to play in the four team Copa Tijuana tournament to be played July 3 and July 5 at Estadio Caliente that will include Dorados de Sinaloa, Leones Negros de la Universidad de Guadalajara and Club Social y Deportivo Defensa y Justicia of Argentina.
The Xoloitzcuintles will face the Argentine club July 3 while Dorados and Leones Negros will face off. The winners will meet in the title match July 5 and the losers will play in the third place match.
Club Tijuana will then close out the preseason with a July 12 match against Cruz Azul in the San Diego Clasico at Petco Park in San Diego (8 p.m. Pacific). Club America will face Dorados in the first match of the double header at the baseball stadium (5 p.m. Pacific).
The Xoloitzcuintles open the LIGA Bancomer MX-2014 Apertura season July 18 at Estadio Caliente against Puebla FC with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
